I blame social media.

Knowing we'd be moving soon to a more dog-friendly place, I innocently decided to follow Helen Woodward Animal Rescue updates and Tweets. And when you "plan" to get a second dog once you've settled into your new home, that's one thing.

But when you get updates about dogs that need a home, and if you could, you'd rescue them all - and then you see the cutest PUPPY in the world with no family - that's another thing.

All cause-oriented groups and NPOs should use social media, and I soon plan to launch World2point0.com do engage foreign entrepreneurs and contribute to global causes.  It works, because it connects their audience with their goals.

I may need a few more hours in the day, though, because Twitter updates showed us Lola, and so it happened that my not quite 5 year old son is now snoozing next to the love of his young life, a 3 month old Australian Shepard/Hound PUPPY. A puppy. Enough said.
